This is what makes the Neato D80 so much better, it maps the room and runs a grid, and the D80 has a really big dirt bin, I can usually run it 2-3 times through my downstairs before it tells me the dirt bin is full.

we have one very large dog and the vac can do a full run without needing to be emptied. i love the roomba. ive never had a problem with the random pattern - it seems to get everything.
