AT&T Cancellation Rip Off

I cancelled AT&T for six lines about a week after the billing cycle had started. I call just now to see why I don't get a credit back since you have to pay in advance. Their response was that they don't give partial credits. It seems like that wouldn't even be legal for them to keep that money.

Pretty sure it states this in the contract you sign.

I has that happen to me.

Its dumb, I just waited and waited until they sent me a really nasty letter about collections and reporting and some other bs.

Then I paid it.

Oh you won't get your money back for like another 2 months or so.
