Gf Has iPhone through work and wants a watch for Christmas. I would like to get the cellular one but she is not able/allowed to add anything to the plan. Her phone is through AT&T, I have a Verizon plan but would I be able to add 1 to the Verizon plan and it work with her AT&T phone?

What woman leaves the house without purse? Being an IWatch owner myself for 2 years, I've never felt the need to have the cellular version. Then again, I'm a boomer.

In the time I've I owned it, I doubt if I've gone Dick Tracy with it more than a couple handful of times.

YMMV.

Thanks for your old person opinion but I use my connected watch quite often: bike rides, gym, at the beach, waterpark, hotel pool are just a few recently I can remember not to mention when phone battery is low can go put it in the truck to charge and stay connected.

Generally must be the same carrier, but some cell services will allow a managed watch for a family member in standalone mode. You will lose some functionality

I had a cell watch for 2 or 3 years and never hooked it up. To each his own
