Bought a new computer and bought the upgrade for $108 one month ago. Lightning struck my office and fried this computer as well as about 7 others.

Spent 1.5 hours on phone with Rajeev and then he tells me that I have to buy it again!

Any good sources out there where I can upgrade and not give MS any more of my money?

Log in to Microsoft's website. It lists your purchases and you should see the code. If the code isn't there - but you can see the purchase - call them again. They will send the code again.

EDIT: Use the chat system - it is far better than trying to talk to them.

I did this and saw that my purchase of windows 10 pro update was listed. It does not give a code, it simply lists it as completed.

I had the same thing happen. I got on the chat system with them - they verified the purchase and sent me the code again. Just be sure to tell them it is the same computer. Tell them it crashed and you are having to do a re-install - they will give you the key again.
