Friend of mine has a fire tv outside, not sure if it's the omni series though. He loves it for a good outdoor cheap tv.

I'm not too picky about the picture on my TVs - I just want to watch the game and have the picture look good. I don't worry too much about the details of the brightness or contrast, of which I have never taken the time to understand. Usually one of the standard settings looks good to me on most 4K TVs. I don't play video games, either. I watch movies and sports.
Having said that, All of my TVs are what you might call "throwaway TVs", in that they are cheap Amazon, TCL or Hisense TVs with Roku, Android, or Fire TV built in. All of these TVs are very convenient and allow me to switch from live streaming TV to apps pretty quickly, and the picture looks good. I have used them in my house, in my garage, and right now, I have one on my patio. They are all pretty much the same, but for the user interface.
I would say that the Amazon Omni series would be right in my wheelhouse, and I would buy one with no hesitation.
Even though I say "Throwaway TV", I still use every single one of them that I have bought (for the last 5-6 years). If one of them goes on the fritz and the fix is not easy, I am going to throw it out and get a new one - that is what I meant by "throwaway".
