Anyone here have a Spigen Slim View Armor case for your Note 3? Help needed if s

I have the Spigen slim view armor that I bought through Amazon (this is a replacement as the hinge broke on my first one) and am having a problem where shutting the front flip cover does not put the phone into cover view mode consistently.
It's like 1 out of every 5 times I shut the case will it actually go into cover view, the other 4 times it doesn't react.
I thought the contacts may not be working in the battery compartment as this is what activates cover view, but I'm thinking thats not the problem as it does occasionaly activate.
Spigen doesnt seem to want to help since I bought it from amazon, and not the spigen site and would prefer to not have to send it back to amazon for ANOTHER replacement, but will if I have to. Just hoping someone had this problem amd figured out a solution.

I had one that I stopped using. I also had the inconsistent cover view problem. The kicker for me was it started to make my Note 3 run really laggy after a certain android OS update. As soon as I took the case off, phone went back to normal... haven't used it since and got THIS . Really liking this case...much slimmer, sleek, and solid. That first case seems to work fine at first and then start having problems. The reviews for it seem to hint at that as well.
