4K laptop

I know everyone is looking fo a 4K TV, but I hardly use mine. My kid is always using the living room TV, it's not like I can watch anything I want to with them around anyways. My living room and kitchen are connected, and I have to turn the volume up so loud to hear it, and I have a decent in wall surround sound system.
I just would rather use my laptop and my headphones and be immersed in the show. So I was thinking about instead of getting a new TV, just get a laptop with a nicer screen. or an oculus rift, but I heard the screen quality was not good at all.
Does anyone have any good recommendations for a 4K laptop, is it worth it? I heard that Netflix doesn't even stream 4K to a PC, only to an app.
