I’m guessing the 2022 World Cup will use the same seeding as past events. Is their any chance we get into pot 1? I know they use the fifa rankings but what is the date those rankings are used?

This SI article gives a good explanation of the possibilities.
TLDR: USMNT in Pot 2, with a small outside chance at Pot 1.

Does most of Europe being finished with qualifying help us potentially move up?

Depends what happens with Portugal and Italy in the playoff.
If they both lose out it'll make it slightly easier. I would just accept Pot 2 at this point though.

Looks extremely unlikely we would fall out of pot 2 right? Especially if we win 2/3 in this next window. We are currently 12th and you can say really 11th since one of Portugal and Italy won’t make it for sure. And pot 2 goes down to th 15th ranked team. This upcoming friendly does have a small impact correct?
