Why does in-stadium replay suck so bad for MLS and US Soccer games played locally?

The most entertaining sport for me to watch is American Football. I've grown accustomed to being able to seeing replays on the big screen at games for just about every play you'd expect to see a replay for, especially if there is a controversial call by the refs.
I've noticed while attending MLS and USMNT soccer games that there seems to be a rule that replays of ANY controversial call are not to be shown on the big screen. Does anyone know the background no this?
Here's a couple examples just from last night at the Austin FC vs Minnesota game:
- Minnesota's first goal was VERY close to being offside, and the ref's reviewed it for a bit. During the review, there's absolutely nothing on the big screen to show the play again.
- Minnesota got a second goal toward the end, but it was reviewed and reversed. People around me thought it was a handball. I had no idea what happened. No explanation given by the ref either...or at least that I could see from where I was. I watched the replay at home later and saw that there was a player in the offside position that caused the goal.
This is incredibly frustrating from a fan's perspective. I believe there may be some rules about not showing replays during certain points of time in the game, like when the ball is live vs not-live...and I get that. This isn't American football where there is usually time between plays to show replays without causing a distraction on the field. But seriously? During a review when absolutely nothing is happening...a replay can't be shown? Are they just trying to not cause a stir in the crowd? What gives? Is this how it is over in Europe with replays too?

I do not know.
My guess is:
American football has way more cameras and cameramen. To have more material and angles for replay.
As well as more money to put people in a studio to come up with all that editing to produce replays that quickly to slap on a big screen in game.

I don’t think that is it. If you are watching the game at home on TV, they will show the replays but those same replays are not shown on the big screen at the game.
