So the driver ran a red light and survived, but an innocent passenger died.
RIP Jose, way before your time.

The students were traveling south on Beamer Road on the way to soccer practice about 7:30 a.m. when the driver of the BMW in which they were riding ran a red light and collided with a Honda at Astoria Boulevard, a sheriff's spokesperson said.
The crash caused the BMW to roll, killing the right back-seat passenger, Jose Perez, 18, of Dallas, according to the sheriff's office.
The driver of the BMW was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The other two students also sustained minor injuries but were not transported to the hospital.

That's not a fair statement. It sucks that anyone that young has to die, but I'm pretty sure everyone has run a red light in their time behind a wheel. It's a shame that anyone died. It's tough to make a statement like that without knowing details. Maybe he wasn't wearing a seat belt. The driver has to live the rest of his life knowing he caused an accident that killed his friend.

Didn't mean for that to be so cynical. More of a "life isn't fair" thing. I wouldn't wish death on any 17-18 year old kid.
Unless I could go back in time and wish death on Giuseppe Rossi when he was 17.

I assumed that's what you meant. I don't know you, but you don't come across as an a-hole. Well, I'm not Rossi or Mexican, so maybe it's just me.

So what kind of college is San Jacinto. Sorry for noobing up this thread but why in the world would one of our top prospects have to go to that college to play soccer. One would think he had better options.

It has a pretty good soccer program. It's a pretty large junior college. But I would think he had better options also
