Is Ray Ray interested in Bury’s back taxes and purveyor of grief?

Damn, two clubs dying in the same day is a really bad look for the EFL

Bury now official:

The EFL Board met earlier this evening and, after a long and detailed discussion, determined that Bury FC’s membership of the English Football League be withdrawn after the deadline passed at 5pm today (Tuesday 27 August) without a successful resolution.

CCTV is installed at Gigg Lane, and anyone damaging Club property or trespassing into the stadium itself will be identified and appropriately dealt with by the Police, who will have access to current and previous CCTV footage.

We would like to urge supporters to remain patient and respectful for Club property.

At the moment only 3 teams will be relegated from league 1
That will most likely change to 2 teams when Bolton becomes official

It's crazy as healthy as the game is in the EFL you'd have 2 historic clubs go bye bye.

Guess all the money being poured into the game is a double edged sword.

Sounds the debt to shares system needs to be revamped.

Would be cool to see some other clubs step in to help out if need be.

Would that matter?
Unless another club bought them?

Isn’t the issue here they need someone else to buy them?

As it stands, 4 (5 total teams after the playoff) teams will gain automatic promotion from League 2 to League 1
I would Could increase to 5 automatics with 6 total if the same happens to Bolton

If they wanted to help they would have loaned players to them

I know it’s fricked up to say, but I think some of the league 2 competing for promotion sides don’t mind this

Loaning a couple of youth players would not solve their monetary problems.

EFL needs a long hard look in the mirror as there is no way that the bury owner properly passed their tests with regards to funds and every interview he has done he has been a shambles. Clearly in it to try and strip the club of assets to make a cheap couple of quid.
