This is Why I Hate the Soccer Coverage From ESPN

Go to their page today and the headlines are mind boggling.

US looked shaky and Mexico handles Guyana?
Both Scorelines were 3-1 and before you say Guyana is way better: LINK
So Mexico(ranked 9 spots higher than US) beat Guyana(ranked 1 spot ahead of A&B) by the same scoreline as the US beat A&B. Both at home. FWIW Mexico score could have been 3-2 as Guyana cracked one off the bar late. So why make the results look like they were different?

It's not just espn. Thats sports media in general.

As a prospective journalist, I hate to see stuff like this get posted/printed. It's like they don't even proofread anymore.

I watched PTI and Around the Horn yesterday and the only Euro topic discussed was the concern about racism. They'll probably talk about a great goal or the Germany vs Holland game, but I would like to see more.

I thought they did look like shite. Shouldnt have been 3-1.

I don't think they played great, but why the different headlines for similar results?
