The Always Salty Javier Clemente

Spain´s absolute coach at USA, and won La Liga twice with Athletic de Bilbao in the early 80´s. He´s been globetrotting, making millions coaching shitty countries (now Libya).

His most interesting comments in a recent interview:

Real Madrid. "They´ve certainly buoyed themselves by winning a lot of points, but I don´t see much difference in their game".

Atlético. "They´ve had a great season. Are they playing on the edge? Who cares? That´s why you have an officiating crew".

Barça de Guardiola. "The problem with this country (Spain), is that after seeing his side, many thought they could play in the same manner".

Barça de Luis Enrique. His Barça is better than that of Guardiola. Quicker and better use of the pitch".

Rakitic. "Beast of a player, but his game is very different that that of Xavi".

Iniesta. "When he retires, it will be extremely difficult to find a player like him".

Messi. "I liked how humble he was at first, but he´s had some ugly behavior. The best in the world, however".

Neymar. "Came to Spain from Brazil, and when they come from there at first, they don´t give a frick about the team".
