Tear away jerseys

I was just complaining about the holding on corner kicks.
I was explaining how Uruguay godin dealt with 6 5" Russian.
Housemate, who is from Oklahoma, said, back in the day. Oklahoma football used tearaway jerseys to prevent takedowns by jersey.
I presume that was legislated out.
I'd love to see flimsy jerseys in world cup.
No one wants 10 on 9 but that means the foul is not being called.

The companies that make the jerseys would never agree to that.

More reasons for Ronaldo to be shirtless? I'm game!
Seriously though, what happens if the jersey is "torn away" before the corner kick?

If enough force is applied to tear it, that’s a foul. Since the foul occurs in the 18, that’s a penalty. It’s about time that the fouls called in the midfield are called in the box. A foul is a foul and too many refs nowadays (not necessarily in this wc) will swallow the whistle because it’s as if they think only egregious fouls warrant a whistle in the box. It’s like in basketball when the whistle gets swallowed in crunch time after calling ticky tack shite all game

Why? Seems like it would be necessary for them to sell more of them to the teams. More shirts sold equals more money.
Aside from that, this seems like a dumb arse idea.

Pretty sure they make more money by selling products to fans. They would definitely take a big hit from fans if they feel the clothing is made from inferior material and easily torn.

I'm not saying that they should sell the "tear away" jerseys to the fans.
Anyways, I think this idea is fricking stupid and I don't want you to think I'm in support of it.

So, you aren't going to sell authentic jerseys?
