Wow. I'm surprised I pulled this one off over Beast, to be honest. Dude's been on here for a lot longer than I have and is well respected. Match recap: Back and forth through the first half, with Beast's adopted African kids that he got on that trip for Liverpool providing a great counter to my dream front three of CR7, Rooney, and one of the Italians from Kicking and Screaming. But it would be my second half substitute Mario Swagotelli, clad in Inter stripes, knocking home a 3-2 gamewinner from 69 yards out...celebration includes flipping a monster truck, hooking up with Kate Upton, and killing a racist Polish dude. All with one foot.

The mighty men from Leeds United notch a 4-2 victory over the insane bunch. FYI: A win in this tournament for S would grant Leeds automatic promotion to the EPL and their choice of any player in the world for free. Well, not really, but anything to get the TV ratings up.

This was so freaking close. Sooooooooooooo freaking close. Back and forth, a real classic. Neither team could get a sustained rally going on the other. It was 1-0, then 1-1, then 2-1, then 2-2. Possession was at an even 50%. Since we don't have two legs to these matches, it went to extra time. In the 120th minute, Stewie's squad finally broke through, beating an offside trap and placing one in the back of the net. Don't hang your head in shame, Friend. INSTANT. CLASSIC.

Ladies and gentlemen, Liverpool has continued their head-scratchingly (is that even a word?) amazing run in non-league play. Bleed rested all of his starters during last weekend's league match against Everton, knowing that this one was waaaaaaaaaaaaay more important. 3-2 victory for the Scouser, aided by his own brand of counter attacking football late in the game. After a free kick failed to result in a goal, Pepe Reiner (British commentary) placed a beautiful punted ball right in front of Luis Suarez. Suarez wove in and out of the defense and hit a screamer right past the goalie for the winner. (But Mario Balotelli would then invade the pitch, assassinating The World's Most Racist Game Winner. Both men will be out for the next round.)
