You can respect or somewhat like Chicharito as a player (I do), but you need to hate the Mexican National Team as an American fan.

I don't.

Don't tell Bho, though (that rhymes).

It is. Here's the thing. I've talked with you about this before. You follow multiple Mexican soccer accounts on twitter and retweet them. You constantly provide Mexican League updates and you are just an over all apologist for all things Mexican. It's time to choose man. I just don't think you are a big fan of America.

Yeah, I'm trying to follow the Mexican league more this year. I like MLS, the USMNT, and CONCACAF so I figured why not try to follow a league that a lot of USMNT players play in.

When? I just think all the negative stereotypical comments about Mexican people are childish. Doesn't have anything to do with Mexico's national team.

I'm a fan of the USMNT but I'm no patriot. I think patriotism, nationalism, jingoism, and even national borders are beyond ridiculous. But that's more of a Poli Board conversation, I guess.

ETA: In order to follow international soccer, I try my best to view the national teams as clubs.

I don't hate Mexicans. Just the team.

Well, that's true for you but a lot of people don't make the distinction. That's the only time I've "stood up" for Mexican people. Mexican patriotism and nationalism is just as messed up as any other, IMO.

So is there anywhere on earth you would be proud to call your homeland? Also, isn't patriotism and nationalism just fanhood? So we shouldn't be fans of anything? Just answer the first question, the other two belong on the poli board and I really don't care how you answer them. I prefer to allow people to live how they desire rather than pretend to be smarter and better than them.

Makes sense. Try to take down Mexican soccer from within.

They (the Mexican national team) are our (USMNT) biggest rivals. I don't like them just like I don't like Liverpool or City. Any stereotypical and racist comments about Mexicans are just ridiculous. Mexicans gave us lucha libre, Javier Hernandez, queso and Texas (eventually).

No. I'm proud of things I've accomplished, not where I happened to be born.

Patriotism is a form of fanhood. So why pull for LSU? or anyone other than yourself?

Interesting take. I kinda like it.

But I'm also proud to be an American. This country isn't perfect by no means, but we have great freedom and I enjoy that.
