You guys act like Messi has been an also-ran in the CL. His ratio of goals scored int he CL is actually higher than Ronaldo.
Last season he had 1/5 of the touches that Ronaldo had in the box, yet still scored as many goals. He's affecting the game from deeper, is the linchpin of the build-up, and would be the best playmaker in the world even if he didn't score any more goals. He's been playing like this for the last two and a half season, and frankly doesn't get credit for his ability as a playmaker.
