That's probably better than over paying for Baines.

Yep, we didn't need a EPL first-teamer right now.

I'd rather have a 23 year old riding the bench with potential to be a first reamer than a 27 year old that may be past his prime when Evra gives up his spot.

Monday Night Football. Today is the day. 20 begins here.

(Cleverley as the "holding" mid? Eh?)

I can see Giggsy being used somewhere in the midfield also.

Heartbreaker to start the season, but Everton deserved the W. Still not impressed with our central mids save Kagawa.

Completely outplayed. We had a squad full of wingers and didn't have one decent cross all day. Didn't deserve a win today.

Like I said in the other thread, the crosses have to be cut down. We looked more threatening on central passes and runs.

Agreed, seems to me we just weren't in sink on offense, this unit needs time to gel I think, we certainly have the weapons.....

Not crazy excited, but he's an experienced piece that'll fit in behind Evra. Has time to develop into a great player.

I am somewhat excited, I mean as excited as one can get about someone who may turn out to be a solid player in a few years....

My feelings are mixed, I enjoy having the dutch and portugese influence on United's sides. I guess it depends on what we do after selling him.......

I remember when we bought Evra and Vidic in the January window and those moves were roundly criticized. Let's give him time.

I always thought those two moves were good, but I may have been in the minority. He does look like a solid prospect, we will see if he pans out....

Evra had a miserable start to life at OT. My point was to have faith in SAF.
