Exploratory surgery has determined that Carles Puyol will undergo arthroscopic surgery for something he´s been hiding or hoping to get over on his own, for some time.
Kiss this season goodbye, even though they say it´s for the two upcoming Champion´s League ties.
He´s been trying to prolong the inevitable.
A great one, and a supreme warrior, he only goes out when taken off (alot of you douches will criticize his not recognizing the situation, but he´s that way, he´s a true warrior, and I´m not a culé, as you all know, and truly admire him).
Credit where credit is due.
This guy was the best at his position for a solid four years. Possibly more, depending on many factors of evaluation. He´s already two years past that life.
A true beast, warrior and leader, who has won it all.

Sad to hear, but I think Macherano can fill in nicely as he did against AC Milan.

We have some family friends who live in Barcelona and when they were out visiting, I asked who their fan favorite player was on Barca. They said Puyol hands down. As a novice soccer follower at the time, I knew who he was, but also knew Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, etc were the bigger names so I found the Puyol recognition interesting. Ever since, I've always enjoyed watching him play and can see why he is a favorite.
