So do they field Torres today against Sunderland?
He's ineligible because he didn't sign his contract 24 hours before the game.

Fernando's brother wrote this letter as he was signing for Chelsea
quote:
Now that my brother is going through the medical check to become a player of one of the best teams in the world right now, I should be happy and excited (I am!), but I have contradictory feelings about the change of club. I know it’s better for Fer and it’s a big step in the sports level. It was what we all wanted because he felt he was sinking, lost in a club that looked like Atleti more and more every day with the economic problems. We will keep Liverpool in our hearts, just like Atleti. They are two of the biggest teams in the world and the only thing I feel toward them right now is gratefulness for everything they have given him in these years.
Eventhough people (some people) hate him right now, (I think it’s a matter of time for them to like him again) the reason of this transfer is not economic (he already went to Liverpool where he earned less) it’s because he wants to reach a greater level in sports. His goal is to try and be the best player in the world one day, and I think he will only reach his goal if he is surrounded by the best.
Hate and love feelings. Newfound feelings now that Fer is about to sign the contract with his new club. I love my family and I love the place where I’m from, the place where I belong. I love Atleti, I love Liverpool, and from now on, I love Chelsea.
I hope my kid’s dreams come true, the dreams of that kid that followed me everywhere when he was a little boy, of whom I’ve never stopped believing will get to be Number One. He already is Number One in our hearts.
With love, your brother
Now and always: I’m with fer (Soy de Fer)
