Pretty poor game in terms of chances created. Man U look clueless in terms of creativity.

The 4-2-3-1 hasn't really hurt the scoring in the Bundesliga. You don't have to make it uber defensive. Dortmund probably plays the most direct brand of soccer in Europe and they play from a 4-2-3-1. To me, it seems that in the Premier League, players who are creative but don't necessarily fit into a prototypical position are cast aside, except for a couple of the Spaniards who end up looking like the best players in the league.

It'll pick up. There has never been as much attacking talent in the league as right now.

A combination of new players, and a bunch of new managers at the top is clearly having an effect.

First time in Liverpool's HISTORY they have started with 9 points and 3 clean sheets.

Hopefully so. A lot of these games have been brutal for neutrals.

I'm excited to watch Dortmund coming up soon, I haven't seen much of Mkhitaryan but he's looked pretty damn good from what I've seen.

I'm just kind of starting to think the Premier League is kind of shite. You've got title contenders with horribly average players playing regular roles.

Look at this Arsenal bench: Fabianski, Sagna, Monreal, Flamini, Zelalem, Gnabry, Sanogo.

frick. I know they've had a bunch of injuries but that is kind of disturbing.

Arsenal's bench is in no way reflective of an EPL title contender.

Yeah that was just a random point, could have been in another post. I was thinking more about some players that are regular starters for teams like United, City, etc.

I would say that United should buy Ozil but Moyes would probably just bench him so he can play Ashley Young and Ryan Giggs' corpse.

Yea that's easy to see. The league is in an interesting place right now.

Still, last season broke the goal record in the league. No reason to suggest that trend won't continue once a few squads settle in a bit.

Giggs was atrocious. United were playing with 10 while Young was on the field.

I don't watch a lot of United, but that may have been the worst performance I've ever seen from him.

Felt at the time and still do that United should have bought Dembele. 15 million isn't that bad and I think he would have fit right in alongside Carrick. Dembele's biggest weakness is probably his passing, but with Carrick sitting deep and spraying the ball around I don't think it would have been a huge problem. It's not like he's a bad passer, it's just not his strength.

Spurs' midfield is really interesting, but I do wonder if they're slightly lacking a great passer/deep lying playmaker type. Then again I still have probably only seen Paulinho play around 10 times or so, and even less of Capoue.
