I wonder if Crocker will go after Pochettino. To me, Gregggs rehire was on the USSF, whereas Crocker is now allowed to make his own pick this time. With the USSF willing to "invest" and Crocker going after a "serial winner", I think Pochettino could tick the boxes when it comes to a splash name with a winning history who has managed big clubs. More importantly, he has a history of scouting younger guys in development and getting the most out of them. One other link is that he and Crocker overlapped at Southampton for a year, where Gareth Bale went from the Southampton academy and followed Poch to Tottenham. Why it wouldn't happen is that Pochettino is still relatively young, and probably doesn't want to go away from managing clubs just yet. Although this players have enjoyed playing for him, he does have a no nonsense history with club organizational leadership. He'd be able to smell the USSF children a mile away and may not have the patience.
Good on you Crocker
