Bobloblaw and I were talking today, is there any way we can stretch the roster size just a little bit? Having only 4 bench spots (with one being a mandatory keeper) just isn't enough. Our thoughts:
We could all just add an extra player in the supplemental draft.
or
We could have an "IR" spot. This helps a bit with injuries. In my case, my first round pick is injured but I can't drop Aguero. It really limits my options exponentially. He just eats up a roster spot and forces me to drop a starter in order to pick someone up. If a player on your team gets injured, you have the option of specifying keeping him on your "IR" to where he doesn't take away from your squad size.
Thoughts?

Well, last time I checked, you didn't have a reserve GK, so...
IR slot may be needed. I'm all for it.

Got my vote.

My only issue with the IR spot is what happens if I don't have any injured players? Does mine just stay empty? If so its no big deal as long as the person who is using theirs has to drop a player to reactivate their injured one, otherwise they'd effectively have one extra player than the other managers.

I like the current number of players but I'm fine with any decision. I'd rather just add a player than have an IR spot for the reason BPG mentioned.

This is exactly how it would work. You put the player on IR, pick up someone in his spot and then drop someone once you reactivate him.

I think either way would be fine. It becomes much more difficult to carry an injured player when we are all sharing from the same player pool. Not an issue on official epl because you can drop an injured player and pick them back up when they're healthy. Our rosters just aren't as flexible because the way our league is set up. Either an IR spot or a 16th roster spot to be added during the supplemental draft would help to remedy that problem.

I guess we'd could add whoever you may pick in the Supplemental Draft as a 16th player.
