The team isn't terrible, but I just don't see where the major points will come from. Mata was a good pick, but you really should have complimented him with a scorer in the second or third round.

I guess that's where the Fellaini boneheaded pick really hurts. Completely whiffed there. I was doing twenty different things at once last night and just went with Fellaini because he was great for me last year.

Still think Negredo can have a great season at City, but who knows how much PT he'll get?

Jumbeaux and DB both did what you should have done. Drafted top attacking midfielders in the first and then Dzeko and Berbatov, respectively, in the second.

Well, to be fair, Dzeko and Berbatov were both off the board by the time it got back to me...heck, all of the big time scorers were. The curse of the snake draft.

I could've taken Lukaku, Bony, Lambert or Podolski instead of Fellaini. Not exactly guaranteed scorers...risks that could pay off later, sure (like van Wolfswinkel).

As for Round 5, I wanted Rafael back. Didn't want to miss out on him as a good point man on defense.

I feel real good about the Arteta and the Lloris picks.

C- is fair, but a lot of that hinged on the Fellaini pick. If I had to do it all over again, I would've taken a pair of strikers (Lukaku and Negredo) in 2 and 3. Again, just an absentminded pick that could haunt me. But maybe Fellaini can continue to get solid points farther back. Who knows?

Here's hoping I can get some midtable/bottom-half strikers that can put up points for me...some late steals that we won't know how good they really are until the season is halfway done.

I'm giving myself a C+ because I've been up for almost 21 solid hours and I want to be happy.

Yeah, I remember last season really struggling with having healthy defenders and just really battling to have three that I could use each week so maybe that's why I picked two defenders before anyone else. Probably could have got another scorer earlier but oh well.

Last season I remember being colossally disappointed in picking Kompany in round 2.. and wasting some pick on Assou-Ekotto and eventually scrambling up some dependable/serviceable scrubs that got me through the rest of the season.

Well, at worst, he'll be a Round 5 disappointment for me.

Going to try to snag another forward in this next round and maybe another midfielder before I focus on defenders.

Hmm, might get a good fullback. Not sure.

Last year, my top three picks didn't pan out as well as I thought they would...and I still was back and forth at the top of the table before we all got apathetic. Lot of that came down to weekly moves and Lukaku being the beast I told everyone he was going to be.

God I loved that I snagged him and Michu in later rounds last season

Unfortunately I still started Giroud/Aguero too often over Lukaku and didn't get the full use out of him.

Same here. My first two picks last season were David Silva (MAJOR disappointment) and Danny Welbeck (I don't have to tell you how that turned out).

ditto.

Aguero and Kompany. Both were injured a ton.

Yea I see what you're saying. Some good forwards went in round 5 though. I see Remy and Carroll both having excellent seasons. Giroud as well, unless Suarez moves to Arsenal, which I still don't think will happen.

Yeah, it was bad. I was (probably still am) dumb.

ETA: In my defense, the pick was made before RVP moved to ManU.

Really thought about those guys. I just have a good feeling about Wolfie. Probably could've waited for him, though.

Yeah, I read he's over his religious hold out so hopefully he's good to go now.

Also, as stated yesterday, I volunteer at a place on Wednesdays from roughly 9:15-9:30 to noonish so I might not be able to make my pick for the next round until then.

That's fine, it's not a bother. But this time, if you do text me, it really won't do you any good.
