I got Socrates. When I saw the Brazilian flag pop up I got so excited and then was like Socrates is ok I guess.

I fully started putting together my all Arsenal squad. Got Mid Overmars, Prime Petit, Prime Campbell, Objectives Bellerin, What If Odegaard, Gold Leno, and Gold Auba. Going to buy IF Pepe and IF Tierney soon. Also will do Ian Wright Moments SBC and Prime Ashley Cole in swaps. I wanted to do something fun after grinding for most of this year.

9-1 over my last 10 in rivals and won promotion to division 4. Changed to a predominantly Brazilian team after I packed birthday Paulinho and birthday Atal and it’s made the game a lot more enjoyable. They’re all good dribblers and all have really good attacking AI. Atal is the best card I’ve ever used in any fifa. 34 goals and 27 assists in 34 games

This is how I start and then switch to 4-1-2-1-2 in game. Hoping Ajax go through and Neres gets boosted to 90

The game is fricked though. I wish EA would punish chemistry if you just switch tactics immediately and play guys out of position. It’s a nightmare with TOTS out now, every slap dick on FUT is just playing with some OP sweaty fullback at CB. Skill moves also need a serious nerfing. I’ve played guys that just spam the joystick with someone like Neymar or M’bappe and they end up in acres of space in the box.

By far my biggest pet peeve though is the broken tackle animation. I can take the ball off a striker and the ball immediately bounces off the strikers leg and he’s through on goal because you’re obviously moving in the complete wrong direction to defend now. You get punished with great defense by giving up a shite goal.

That and scripting still so obviously existing is infuriating. I don’t think it’s on every game, but it’s so easy to tell when the scripting is working for or against you. Namely every loose ball disproportionately finding its way right to the foot of one team over and over

I packed a 91 Desailly from an SBC- run him with showdown Zagadou now. They’re both tanks but they’ll still give up goals they shouldn’t just due to shitty game play mechanics. I have a ridiculous team from a player rating perspective, but if a player doesn’t have a meta body type there isn’t much difference. 89 Benzema and 97 Benzema feel about the same, both worse than 90 M’bappe.

If a player has 80+ finishing and you get him into a good position he’ll usually finish it. It’s a lot easier to get into good position with a meta player. Messi, M’bappe, Neymar, Mertens, Insigne..basically anyone that’s super responsive will outperform a higher rated less responsive card. What kills me is that someone like TOTS Muriel will have maxed out dribbling ratings with a chem style and turn like a hummer, while a Mertens card with 86 dribbling will turn like a forklift. Body type has a much bigger impact in how a card actually handles than the ratings do—which is stupid as hell
