It's painstakingly obvious, England are missing Carrick.
Rooney (when he returns) , Welbeck, and Ashley Cole should be enough offense to score a few goals.
I expect they'll make it out of the group. And if they want to hunker down and play counter attacking football, they can beat anyone. It's not pretty, but it's effective.

I just watched the Norway-Croatia game on ESPN3. Boring for the first 80 minutes but Eduardo put Croatia ahead around the 82nd. He headed in a low cross and a Norwegian defender went in with a raised cleat and caught him in the neck after he had headed the ball. Everything turned out to be ok.
Norway equalized on a header five minutes later to make it a 1-1 final. Also, Riise was going at it with the Croatian RM the whole game.
