Rewatch the match and count how many times Steffen booted the ball downfield as opposed to playing it to a Miazga/Long on a goal kick.
We went in with a concerted effort to play out the back tonight. That is an unobjectionable fact. It worked great in the first half, but in the second half when they started marking Pulisic all over the place our midfield got overrun and it probably would've been a good idea to start booting the ball downfield just to alleviate some pressure.
