I'd rather promote Ryo.

I do believe Serge Gnabry has a good chance of passing Ryo in terms of first team action.

Maybe. Though even Ballague was tweeting this morning about A.Madrid possibly being forced to sell Falcao because of their debts. We've got the cash on hand to come close to his release clause. Not saying it's at all probable but there are some factors there which make it possible.

Ozil was just a dream, for sure. Real would be stupid to sell him, whatever he and Jose's problem is.

I don't see that happening. Maybe if Gnabry breaks into the first team this season. Ryo has had two very good loan spells, and he's starting to play more for Wigan, which gives him a tremendous experience advantage over Gnabry. Arsenal fans have been high on lots of players who have impressed at the reserve level and haven't made the transition to the first team. Ryo is a much better option because he already has PL experience.

I wonder what Owen Coyle's sacking will mean for Afobe...

Thanks for the link. Chelsea did a great job negating him, key to their victory.

Gnabry seems to have broken into the first team. At least a couple of games his name has been on the team sheet. Gnarby has been labeled the next Ox by people around the club. A loan spell in January and he could very well become a first team regular. I like Ryo too and his EPL experience will definitely help him. It is just nice to have two young wingers with loads of potential.

Mark Randall made the team sheet a couple of times in the PL. Means very little at the moment. Until Gnabry starts actually playing games and contributing to the PL first team, I'll remain skeptical, given how many starlets we've had before who couldn't quite make the jump despite obvious talent.

I really hope he breaks through so that my dream of cheering for a "Serge" on my favorite two teams comes true.

Why'd you have to go and bring up Randall?? I remember Young Guns trying so hard not to be critical of his inclusion over more talented youngsters like Merida. Never understood Wenger's fascination with him.

I could have included JET, Lansbury, and a lot of others. I just remember being especially annoyed that Randall was on our books for so long.

For sure. I'm worried Aneke and Afobe are destined for the same fate. Would be disappointing considering their hype.

Yea I get your point but it seems Gnabry has impressed everyone at the club and is being fast tracked to the first team. They compare him to the caliber of OX and Theo when they were first breaking through so there must be some substance behind the hype.

I've heard this song and dance too many times before to actually put any trust into it.

These were the last two starlets who were destined for the first team. Wenger supposedly called them "technically complete." Again, we have a new starlet every year that is supposed to challenge for first team places. I'll remain skeptical.
