Pick, SEC refs blew it. The clip ESPN showed made it seem so obvious. Auburn fans got pissed as hell when they called it inc. Arky v UF, LSU v UGA, MSU v UF and Bama v LSU all have had HUGE blown calls. This shite is getting ridiculous.

I agree, totally a blown call. Also Julio stepped out on his TD run

I think it was an INT. I also think the 'no call' on the face mask all the way to the QB was unexplainable.

To the Bama fans, Don't take this the wrong way the anger is at the refs, not your team. at least no more than my usual antipathy towards you

It WAS a bad call. but maybe they were just being consistent. that catch at the beginning by peek was ruled incomplete. it was a catch.
sorry, the refs suck. this isnt new by any stretch and is not bama's fault.

Believe it or not I feel your pain. Two good teams slugging it out only to be marred by bad officiating.

Bama should be pissed because it mars their win, LSU should be pissed cause it takes away chances for a turn around. Hell, I am not mad at Bama for our game I am just pissed that the officiating left room for bitching.

But neither team should bitch at each other, they should be directing solely on the Refs and Slive.

Assuming the replay official had the same views/angles I had at the time (not all of the stills produced since then) I say he was not able to see irrefutable evidence to overturn. Left foot was down but PP did not have possession of the ball yet. Right foot might have come down in bounds but it might have come down on the line too. Had it been called an interception, there would not have been evidence to overturn that either.
Later evidence probably shows it to be an interception. Don't know that the replay official had access to anything that should/could overturn it.

Dude, everyone else had the same replay angles as the refs, the INT was very clear! Same story, different day! The SEC title matchup was predetermined so they had to make sure it happened!

It was a shitty call because it was an int, but there is no way of knowing if LSU would have scored after.

From Sports Illustrated....

Let's get one thing straight. The play didn't decide the game. Yes, LSU would have gotten the ball down six instead of down nine 2 minutes and 50 seconds later, but there's no guarantee backup quarterback Jarrett Lee, working with backup running back Stevan Ridley, would have led the Tigers down the field for the winning score against the ferocious Alabama defense.

It looked like an interception to me, and one of the best I’ve seen in a while, but I thought at the time they weren't going to overturn it. I'm certainly no conspiracy theorists, or at least I haven't been up to now, but the calls that have happened at KEY TIMES in KEY GAMES lead me to believe that the SEC clearly wants two undefeated teams in the SEC Championship Game and are hell bent and determined to see that it happens. I didn’t look at the total calls against and for each team but it’s when the calls are made that matter most. It seems the most critical and controversial calls come at a time when the other team doesn’t have enough time to overcome them. But I suppose that’s just a coincidence.

Member schools should look at moving the SEC Headquarters out of Birmingham and put it in Atlanta because there just seems to be too much influence Bama has over the SEC Officials (maybe they have the offices bugged and have interesting information of said SEC Officials that they are blackmailing them with). Somehow, someway the SEC has exerted pressure on referees to ensure that an undefeated Bama and Florida play in the SEC Championship Game thereby ensuring an undefeated SEC will play for the National Championship. I haven’t wanted to believe it but it really appears that top echelon teams right now in the SEC (Bama and Florida) get more than their share of close calls and the other SEC Members need to band together to root out the apparent corruption.

Do I think LSU Fans are “whining” too much? HELL NO! In fact they need to ratchet up the noise and make it a national issue. Something needs to be done.
