Because they are independent and obviously wouldn't win a conference title. So, how do you treat them if they are in the top two of this scenario?

He started off saying it was all about how important conference championships were. Then he throws in Alabama as the at large. If Alabama won, it would still be a team that won the NC without winning the conference first.

Not any different from what we got really.

Sad that it won't happen but it definitely should. If they actually care about being fair it absolutely should change. But they don't care.

Some people argue that there would still be bitching because people will be left out of the 6-8 team playoff. But if you can't get into the top 6-8 or win your conference then you absolutely do not deserve to be in the playoff. There is no argument. STFU and try again next year.

Top 2 seeds get a bye and guaranteed semifinal home game

No on the home game, they need to be on nuetral ground. The bye is the reward for being the 2 best Conf. Champs. It would be easy to work in the Bowl System. Would be pretty damn good but it would eventually become 8 teams, then 16 teams etc. which IMO would not be good. If they would keep it at they 6 then yeah but if it got too many teams it would diminish the reg season too much, IMO.

What was he saying?

6 team playoff.
1 and 2 get must be conference champions and get a BYE the first week.
The winners of the other 2 games play #1 and #2. The winners of those games play for the title.
The teams are picked by a public selection committee and not voters (to maintain accountability).
