LINK Best write up so far.

[quote]"I believe the officials work hard and make as good a quality of a call as they can," Miles said. "The difficult issue that I have is telling my team. That's the issue. The issue is telling Patrick Peterson, who, in his mind, knows it was an interception. If it's the right call, it's easy. But that's the difficult issue."
Peterson certainly believes he intercepted the pass. "When I caught the ball, I tried to get two feet in. I believe I got two feet in," Peterson said. "Definitely, the foot mark was left on the field. Not even on the white. It was on the green."

I wonder if Slive will have the balls to announce once again the SEC blew another big call late in the game?

how is that, "with proof"?
just becuase it made a mark doesn't mean it made a mark before or after he pulled the ball in.

"After interviewing Peterson, I returned to the field, where I snapped a few photos of a small gash in the field between the 31- and 32-yard lines. A video replay confirmed this was the same spot where Peterson caught McElroy's pass. There is no way to confirm that Peterson's foot made the mark; it could have been made at any point during the game. But judging by video replays, Peterson's left foot -- which landed first -- would have made an identical mark on the disputed play."

Shady proof IMO.

Oh good GOD.....face it you got a can of Whoop arse opened on you, man up.Your players were dropping like flies, you couldn't manage 300 yards total and you gave up 450 LSU is lucky it wasn't worse than it was.

Was it a pick? I thought so. But there is no guarantee you'd have scored.

Remember that awful no call when the LSU DB shoved the Alabama WR down in the end zone a couple years or so back and made a pick?? Karma.

Rammer Jammer,Yellow Hammer, etc etc you know the rest.

You Bama flamers missed the point. But I certainly understand why your are so defensive. The point of the artical his to improve what happen last night. No one knows how the game would have ended up had the interception would have been allowed. I promise if the roles were reversed Bama would have burned down Bryant Denny last night.

The roles were reversed two years ago when an DB tackled a bama wr in the end zone and costed bama a td and the game.

That's exactly why the SEC needs to clean this up. There will be a huge uproar over this call all week long by the media. We don't need this distraction. It will be interesting what the SEC says about this.

Guess what the corndog response about the Cory Webster PI non call was?

Hint: Read all the Bama comments today. Just change the "A" to "LSU"

and when that happened, Bobby Gaston (head of officials) maned up and said it should have been called! I remember when it happened, Alabama had all of the momentum and was whiping us up and down the field. That play changed the game. We took over from there and won. We could have won last night if the right call was made, but we will never know!

Everybody and his brother knows it was an INT. Except the one or two officials on the field and the official in the replay booth whose fricking JOB is to get it right.

So, there's no requirement that officials make the right call unless the result is guaranteed? What kind of logic is that?

This is not about Bama. Your team is very good and played a very good game. There is a good chance you would have won the game even if it was well officated. I haven't seen anyone say differently. But it would be nice to see the game played out without blantantly bad calls.

But this kind of crappy officiating can come back and bite the conference in the arse. It makes the conference look more like the WWE than the SEC.
