Those who attended the game...

Experiences, positive, negative, mixed bag?
If you could give some comparisons to other games you've attended I'd really get a kick out of that.

Is the booing really that bothersome to you guys?

Firstly I don't condone it, it's a pretty weak move IMO. But let's be real, it was just booing, it kind of just blows my mind that it bothers so many of you the way it appears to be doing. I'm reading responses that typically accompany myths of us fighting the elderly and knocking over porter johns. I don't think it warrants more than a "well that's stupid" and move on. You have a couple thousand hyped up, drunk, angry college kids, recipe for disaster 101. I just kind of think it's silly that it seems like to some of you this has completely tarnished the game and any conference expansion talk, and now we're the worst people on the earth. If you arrived at your disdain via some other instances than by all means that's fair, if the booing is what really made you dislike the Mountaineers, that's kind of soft IMO.
WVU fans thought's

Wasn't at the game, watched it at a bar with no sound. Been lurking this board for weeks, I love it (a few of my BGN posts have actually been quoted here). Any who, was just approved so here are my thoughts...
#1 TM7 is the real deal Holyfield. I haven't felt this way about a played since Tebow, guy was around the ball at all times. I couldn't care less about the trash talking, it's a conditioning thing, if you're hot stuff eventually you know it. If you want to shut up said player... do it.... we couldn't. For the record though you can be flagged for shite talking as I saw someone in another thread act like you couldn't, it's a very real rule and knowing the NCAA they love to break rules out at inopportune times (see Locker and his ball toss in the end zone a few years back v USC).
#2 Was too hammered to notice if Holgerson was pissy towards hurt LSU players. Pardon our fans though, on the one hand we have the a-holes, on the other hand we had a coach for 3 years who used to act like the other team was the '85 Bears when we would lose, it's a bit nice to see a level of fire. Also (again still sloshed) the whole no-huddle "cramps" thing did occur to me after a week of ESPN indoctrination, so go easy, I'm not so sure your fans wouldn't feel the same nor anyone else who watched an hour of ESPN this week.
#3 Defense aren't world beaters but offense aren't slouches. This is why I think you guy's are MNC contenders (not because you beat our asses) but because your team adjusts to it's needs. All week we heard that the game would be won and loss on WVU offense and LSU defense, what would you know? It was vice versa. A good team tries to fill it's deficiencies, a great team compensates for it on the other side of the ball.
#4 Was I that hammered or was Kraft there?
#5 I hope LSU fans had a great time, i'm a recent grad and even in my short time at WVU I saw such a tremendous change in fan demeanor. WV is unique, I'm not from there (a Yankee city slicker) but every time a friend or relative makes a joke about it I laugh, not because it's funny but because I know they don't really understand what they're missing out. It disappointed me to see LSU fans degrade themselves by making "redneck" jokes, not trying to be a d-bag, but let's just say in the eyes of the country WV is in the south's boat. I never got the "hick" trash talk from GA, LA and AL fans because I figured they of all people would get that whole stereotypical slant.
#5 I DON'T KNOW IF I MENTIONED IT BUT I'M HAMMERED
#6 IT'S INDEED MY BIRTHDAY
#7 This is going to close out my post, and damn will it seem like brown nosing but it's the truth. 3 years ago AU fans came to MoTown, they acted like we were a modern day Sodom and Gamora. 2 years ago I ventured down to AU, I enjoyed my time there but the whole time 2 things stuck out. Firstly they constantly had to remind me how they were more polite fans than we were (apparently irony is lost on them). And secondly they constantly told us LSU fans were the worse, one woman told me she had a beer dumped on her kids at a baseball game at LSU. Oddly enough I thought to myself "Now these sound like the tigers I need to be partying with", seriously the more stories I heard the more it sounded like like the wild BS tales spun about WVU, so it was on. I've got to say, no BS, I've never seen a fan base sack up like the LSU Tigers. Typically they bitch and moan about taunting and whatever, but damn if you Tigers didn't just taunt us back harder. A few jack-holes on each side got sand in their va-jay-jay's (some of ours made not even clever t-shirts) but for the most part we whipped out our fan wieners and measured that shite. I dig that LSU... homo allowed.
