Janzen Robbery Video
Posted by Bernie Lomax on 1/15/10 at 2:45 pm
SIAP. Just saw this today.
Looks like Janzen was a LOT more involved than Kiffin led to believe. I also feel bad for the kid from Ohio, considering he appears to never have done anything but stay inside the car.

Gets me everytime..
Best part:
quote:
There's also Lawrence "Moe" Dampeer. Dampeer saw significant playing time on the defensive line for the Oklahoma Sooners as a freshman. The problem is that was four years and a lot of pounds ago.
Dampeer hasn't played ball for a few years, last playing for Joliet Junior College in 2005. Although listed at 375, Dampeer is likely much closer to 450 and isn't ready to play a complete game.
Still, he's already shown amazing foot speed and lateral movement for a guy his size. Once he's ready to go, he'll be a force to be reckoned with and will surely demand double, if not triple teams.
"Moe (Lawrence Dampeer) is a conditioning thing," Tjeerdsma said. "He'll make a few plays, but he can't sustain anything right now.

We’re checking on the rumor that this guy is former Oklahoma defensive lineman Moe Dampeer and that he has made it through to Hollywood on American Idol.
Supposedly Moe has lost 150 pounds and turned his eyes to singing.

Daily Loston Thread

I cant remember a defensive back with such impressive film, that was so highly touted, that NEVER went for the strips in his film.
He makes a tackle below the knees or wraps you up on every tackle. He also plays with a sense for the game that you dont often see. In his sophomore highlights, he was cutting kids legs out at the goal line instead of form tackling them (preventing the 1 yard needed for a touchdown). His instinct is golden.
You see a lot of kids today who either A) head hunt B) think tackling is attempting to strip the ball until someone else makes the tackle.
Loston A) lays the shoulder down and crushes you B) grabs you from around the neck and twist you backwards, in a violent motion, until you fall akwardly on the ground.
Loston = buck nasty

Would you commit to a school as a strategical move to see if you could create a domino effect (other top players committing soon after)?
A lot of these kids are young, and people chalk up de-commitments up to youth and immaturity.
Yet, could it be viewed as smart strategy in building a solid foundation for your future?
Scenarios:
a) You commit. Everyone else starts following.
b) You commit when the dominoes are rolling, both to see if you can get big names to start landing and to secure your spot.
c) You commit to save a spot.
In all these instances, you can simply de-commit if you dont feel things are right. More than likely, your other plan is probably still in place (the original school you were onto).
People bash these kids for de-committing. But is it sometimes smart strategy?
I know someone has examples.

"it will be known in the not-so-distant future that a certain safety is no longer committed to Clemson. ;)" - Per Mike S
So, after a weekend where Loston arrives and all signs point to him landing at LSU eventually, Mike throws out the "not-do-distant future" prediction...
What the hell does that mean?
Is that this week or signing day? The distant future could be feb, so what is "not-so-distant"?
I didnt read about "not-so-distant futures" when i give him 150 bucks at the start of the year for my subscription.
