My Uncle Dickie was always a little intense, but would do anything for you and loved kids and the outdoors, innit. As a 10 yr old, dude picked me up after school on a Thursday and drove me to his small ranch in Liberty MS. He had just built an A frame cabin on a 10 acre pond. Got there and he had bought my poor arse an electric football game, a Benjamin pump pellet gun and gave me his old single shot .410. We caught a mess of bream and my first bass and spotlighted rabbits each night. My paw paw, Rufus Ancelet came and met us that weekend. I was going to shoot the .410 for the first time. We came across some armadillos so he had me stand on a stump and shoot across the bed of his ‘69 ford pickup. The armadillo walked towards us, my dumbass lowered the .410 and blew a hole thru the truck on other side of the bed. Uncle Dickie swallowed his Beechnut from laughing and threw his guts up a half hour later, still laughing. Good times.
