Imagine tRant if LSU did this. The entire board might implode.
We have our furnace in the crawl space so air immediately travels to the upstairs first, while our thermostat is downstairs. Given that is is pretty cold out, our heater runs and causes the upstairs to be substantially warmer than the downstairs. I am closing our upstairs external vents so that i can push air downstairs, but two of them are whistling, and these two happen to be the closest/shortest distance from furnace to the vent exit. Is there something I can do to correct this? One has air pushing out through the handle that opens and closes the vent, while the other is coming through the vent itself (not perfectly sealed). I am curious if it's fixable given that the distance between these two vents and the furnace is so short that the air pressure being created is why air is finding a way out and that I am basically screwed.
Toughest opponent (on paper) for senior night since when?
I'm putting one of the 1 gallon kits on my family Christmas wish list and if I don't get it for Christmas, I planned on getting one just to try because it seems like fun and one of my favorite breweries has a beer on their website that I can make at home. Has anyone ever tried out this company for 1 or 5 gallon brews? I plan on storing it in a 128 oz mini keg that I got for nitro brew coffee but will replace the tap with one that is compatible to work with a CO2 tank. I don't feel like I can get too serious about this type of project as it's pretty hard to have expensive hobbies (i.e. upgrading to massive brewing kits that costs a several hundred dollars) but for a $50 entry point in the 1 gallon starter kit, I don't think it would hurt to give this a shot. The goal would be to eventually experiment and make some tropical/hazy IPAs, porters, and stouts.
Long story short:

We can pick up a free slide/playground set from our church that includes just a ladder and slide. There is a beam for a swing on each side but that can be removed easily. I am wondering if anyone has done this without disassembly. I would rather not take it apart as I worry about the strength of the screws going back into the wood which has only a handful of bad pieces i will replace myself. Overall it is in good enough shape to move, but I do not know how much man power I would need to actually move this. We are probably able to get a flatbed to transport.

Submitted at 7pm CT per conference rules. Someone posted on Twitter he has an ab tear and would be out for an extended period of time. Highly doubt he is listed as Questionable with that type of injury unless he gets downgraded to Out 90 minutes before the game.
Mrs. BTB (no pics, force of habit from tOT) and her friends are trying to plan out a bachelorette trip in March. They want an all-inclusive so that they don't have to leave the resort, but may do snorkeling as an off-resort activity. All should be flying out of NOLA (we have SWA points to pay) and flights are currently relatively inexpensive. The goal is to spend less than $1k per person for a 3 night stay (Saturday night thru Tuesday morning.) Several Spanish speaking bridal party members, so not sure if that will help with any type of things they they could do on the trip.

Generally I am the one that does the planning for all of our family/friends trips but I have zero experience with Cancun. Any help would be appreciated.
Figured we can spin off the NHL thread and have a mod eventually anchor this to the bottom of MSB.

Season already underway and the Zydeco have dropped 4 in a row after opening the season with a W. They'll split up a home/away series between Biloxi on Friday and Saturday this weekend before a 2 week break.

I know the team/lease/whatever contract they have is supposed to end after this year, so hopefully enough fan/financial support can give us at least a 2026-2027 season (unless this has changed.)

Satellite internet for camp

Posted by BilbeauTBaggins on 11/2/25 at 10:38 pm
In-laws are being passed down a camp that will need satellite for internet. It only has satellite tv but that will be dropped soon. Area is in rural MS and all the neighbors have satellite so it sounds like that is the only option for internet. I'm told the family does have a Starlink satellite that has not been activated or installed as this was supposed to be done in the future.

This camp would be visited maybe once a month on average for family weekends/getaways, possibly twice a month. Quick research shows that Starlink is fairly reliable for $80/mo and you can pause your service for $5/mo, possibly allowing the billing cycle to pause as well. Are there cheaper options than Starlink that are worth this camp?
$175 individually (face value), $300 for the pair. send your email info here and I will reply if interested

I have a Nissan with a CVT and it runs fine, but we are hitting close to 150k miles and I know the transmissions are generally a ticking time bomb. It has never had transmission service done and I am wondering if I need to do a fluid change or flush. I am reading online that a flush may do more harm than good, which sounds strange to me considering that the fluid change is less invasive of a cleaning job than a flush. Can someone explain to me what would be the best course of action for me and if it would be better to go to the dealership or a transmission service location? It's about $250 for service work at the dealership but I have not confirmed if it is a flush or change service.

Would it be a bad idea to get a pallet of St. Aug in BR within the next two weeks? We are considering updating some of our backyard before winter and I'm not sure if the window to lay it down is closed or not.

Also, if this is something we should do, best place to get St. Aug from in BR? I see Home Depot sells for $600/pallet (~500 sq feet) with free delivery.

And if you don't have any, go buy a shirt
UPDATE: $109 1 1/4 hp American Standard Slim-Line installed with help from dad. Swapped out old Insinkerator mounting hardware and drain covers for what came with this. Also decided it was time to replace the flexible pipes underneath and see if I could install the hard plastic drain pipes I had in storage.
