Small Business vehicle Sec 179
Posted by Binx on 7/10/14 at 7:33 pm
Recently started a small company and looking for opportunities to decrease tax burden. Wanted to discuss acquiring a vehicle for small business use. I'm wondering how leasing vs buying a car for a company work. Financing vs paying upfront. How to avoid being flagged by the IRS. How to allocate business money to the vehicle.
Right now it seems to me that since the expiration of the large tax breaks at the first of the year, if you want a more affordable car over 6000lbs purchase. If you want a luxury car lease.
Business generates 7000-9000 dollars a month. Currently over head is 900-1200 a month. This is separate from a salaried employee position.
Sec 179 purchase calc
I do plan on meeting with my CPA but was trying to get educated on the subject.

Billingsley Ranks Alabama 1st

Posted on tiger rant with no response. I noticed billingsley ranked Alabama slightly higher than LSU. Alabama 349.232 vs LSU 348.476. He says in his formula it's based on what the team accomplished without factoring margin of victory. Thoughts? I am not saying I think LSU deserves to be number one in any poll or rankings or that billingsley ranking LSU number one would change anything.

Billingsley All Time Team Rankings

Nothing matters until we win on Jan 9th but just food for thought. When/if LSU wins it will likely be ranked the number one all time team by billingsley. Currently we have a score of 378.118. We jumped up from 366.807 with a win over uga. The number one team all time (Bama 09) has a score 378.293. Of course any rankings that call Bama 09 the greatest all time are suspect. I know let's just get through Jan 9th.

He was tenth in the first round of the 100m. Pretty good shape. Marian Brunett 23rd and Neisha Bernard-Thomas 7th after first round of the 800.
