I know it’s fashionable to rip Zelensky, but if I had to guess, he was given private assurances of support if Russia invade. Think about it this way: The West wants Ukraine in NATO, Zelensky wants in but is worried about Russia’s response, the West assures him we’ve got his back. Zelensky expects an unending flow of supplies for defense and now he realizes his army was used as cannon fodder to weaken Russia and on top of that, no, it’s not a grant, it’s a loan. I’d say that’s plausible.

IDGAF what he says. I think an argument could be made that everything that the “president “ did in the last 4 years were all BS.
