This is ridiculous. JD has been the most active VP in my lifetime. His wife Usha was in the final days of her pregnancy. Of course he wasn’t going to be out in public or in front of mics as much as usual.

He seems like a great husband who wanted to be with her/family during one of the most important/exciting times of one’s life.

OT: A VP has not has a baby while in office in over 150 years.

quote:

• The prior instance was in April 1870, when Vice President Schuyler Colfax (serving under President Ulysses S. Grant) and his wife Ellen had a son, Schuyler Colfax III.

• Earlier examples exist (e.g., children born during John C. Calhoun’s vice presidency in the 1820s), but nothing in the modern era until now. ?

She should be targeting the do nothing leader of the Senate.

Kamala did nothing for 4 years. VP never does much other than showing up for events to wave at people.

Kamala was so bad at being the border czar, the left disputed that she was ever the border czar.

VP is nothing more than a figurehead position in most administrations and in many cases the President and VP don't even like each other. Lots of time the VP was picked to help with a certain state or voting block and once in power the President wants them out of the way.
