I can agree that there are liberals, in the classic sense, who love America and want it to prosper, and just have an honest philosophical difference of opinion on how best to make that happen. OP’s question is about the left though. Huge difference.

Leftists are vile, despicable, pieces of shite who hate this country the way it is to their very core. They despise economic liberty, secure borders, and the rule of law. These assholes want open borders for all to enter as they please, desire to crush free speech of conseratives and take away basic rights of innocent citizens, and relish the thought of a Socialist state here.

I would bet there is quite a difference between the liberal friends you describe and actual leftists. Leftists are nothing more than filthy cockroaches.
