The people I personally know who like Kennedy are older adults (over 50) who would be considered old school Democrats who voted Obama and some voted for Trump at least one time, now they want to move on from Trump but they can't vote Biden so Kennedy is an attractive candidate. I still think Kennedy hurts the Dims as much as the R's if he's on the ballot in 2024.

The types who follow Jimmy Dore and Glenn Greenwald, along with a smattering of right-wing populists whose most important issues are opposing vaccines, dismantling much of the federal spying apparatus and reforming America's interventionist foreign policy.
You just described old school Democrats.

I think his primary base will be nostalgic 65+ year olds. I know it’s anecdotal, but the only person I’ve heard consistently speak of him at all is my 66 year old mother, who is historically conservative
My 78 year old mother is the same.
I think she really believes that the vote she casts for him is the vote she never got to cast for his dad in ‘68. She’s always sworn that RFK would’ve beaten Nixon in the general.

I would STRONGLY consider RFK @ that point

Have not read through the thread, but one of the biggest errors in judgment I see is the painting of RFK as a loon whose only stance is “anti-vax.” (That in and of itself is a misnomer.) He’s very strong on a number of points and is intelligent. Seems like a pretty decent man, as well.

An openly pro reparations, anti 2A Kennedy at that
