April of last year Europe's price for natural gas was at 18, it rose to 350 last week and is now back to 272 so its 15 fold what it was before they showed Russia who was boss.
Expect it to rise, France has some maintenance on reactors and checking of them all after some fissures were found, they say 25% less output. The drought in Europe is putting a strain on hydro throughout Europe, causing problems with shipping to get fuel up some rivers, and the cooling of reactors in France. The gas fields and pipelines from the northern part of Europe are scheduled for maintenance and repairs since they have been running them ragged.
Plus Russia is shutting down the pipeline for another 3 days of maintenance.
You guys do realize if Germany has 100% storage....its 10 weeks supply. It was set under the assumption that it would cover the gap in on going shipments during the peak need months of winter. If Russia continues to hamper the shipments, they will run out or pay 30 times the amount they were paying.
Europe energy ministers had another meeting today and decided.....
They need to reduce their reliance on natural gas and
Regulate the price of gas
Well by golly, in typical bureaucratic fashion they have solved it, everybody back to work, but wear your mittens.

All the Russians had to do was not invade Ukraine, and none of this would be happening.
