When did Spooks become so trustable?

Just due to the secretive nature of their work most Americans have never trusted them. I mean let's face it nobody wants to get visited by the FBI or the CIA.
Democrats for damn sure didn't trust Our Intelligence Agencies during the Bush years. So when did that change? When did they become so above board and sacrosanct?

Yeah seems like they didn't start trusting them until the Obama years when he put his people in there. It almost seems partisan doesn't it?
