Russia will control a huge bread basket in the end. Tons of some of the richest farming land on earth in Ukraine... That's a huge win. Whoever controls the food in the future has all the power. Why do you think people like Bill Gates are buying up tons of farm land? I have no doubt this played a role in Putin making the decision to invade. It doesn't take a genius to see all of the inroads the US and other European countries were making into Ukraine, and that would have eventually possibly led to big US and European corporations owning farm land there..
Putin is no fool, he had some valid reasons for invading..
