To get Trump elected.
The media has to know they’ve got nothing if Trump goes away. He’s obviously a ratings goldmine (as much as there can be these days) or they’d just ignore him. That mugshot should hang from the Capitol when he’s inaugurated again.

Media definitely wants a cornered trump as the nominee. It’s a content and ratings goldmine and really all they have right now.
