re: The Dream of the '90s Died in Portland

I have friends and family in both Portland and Seattle. Both have been Californicated. I was in Seattle in the 80s when it started happening.My son just moved to Portland in December and we were there. Trash everywhere. We stayed downtown in a nice hotel. There was a group of tents about 50 yards away and when we left one morning a guy was taking a dump in the parking lot. My son and his girlfriend love it though, they have good jobs, go hiking and skiing on the weekends. He summitted Mt St Helens a couple weeks ago. The Great PNW is beautiful and the areas outside of downtown are still nice, but the prog filth have sure screwed that city up.
