It’s beyond time for this. Our state and federal government employees no longer serve the interests of the people, so why not delegate the decision making to the taxpayer? I earned that money, why do I not get a say on how it’s spent?

Seems like a win-win situation for both sides of the coin. Joe-blow in New York City wants to defund the police and increase funding for renewable energy, why not let him? What if I was tired of contributing my tax dollars for lazy people to milk the welfare system and wanted to help small business owners receive stimulus funding to get back on their feet?

TLDR: I fail to see why people should pay taxes for things that don’t benefit them or reflect their beliefs.

Yes. I wish I could opt into what percentage of my taxes go to what. Example: I want my tax contributions to go to defense and police, not pork barrel programs.

I wish we could vote people into office every few years to represent us on these matters.

And give me my damn social security money that ive been paying in to for many years, thieves!!!

What would happen if we all went in and changed our W4s in order to keep way more of our hard earned money? Just curious.
