From what I’ve seen from this case in this State, they would have had to witness the felony themselves within 24 hours; and they didn’t. They did have the right guy, and the prosecution didn’t dispute it, but the time frame is what got them… last week’s crimes don’t count in this instance….wrong State for this maneuver

Need to check that one 808. I learned the fact on this one on Rekieta Law last week.
Citizen Arrest has been on the books in Georgia for 150 years. It's still legal.

Georgia repealed it last your after the murder. Not that it matters. The defendants’ actions were held to the standard of the law as it existed at the time of the killing, which they still didn’t reach to make it a lawful CA.
