So the university of Pittsburgh is requiring a mandatory anti racism class

I can see it now, you have to profess to hate yourself, admit you are a racist just to pass. Grade increase would involve washing feet, kissing feet, making personal reparations to increase your grade. Ahhh yes, what an uplifting education that class will be.

I don't think that a public institution can legally require a student to take that kind of course after the conditions of their enrollment have already been set.

Last time I checked, changing the terms of a contract after the contract has already been signed, then attempting to enforce those new standards voids the current contract.

What happens if a student raises salient points which may challenge the narrative? Will there be free discourse where students can express all view points and not just meekly submit to the white guilt they intend to heap on anyone not " of color."
