But, the one I saw being referenced was where the questions seemed to be trying to identify the whistleblower.

If Vindman was on the call and Jordan asks who he talk to about the call, that is a question that needs to be answered, period.

That's not the instance I was referring to.
But, assuming Vindman was represented by a lawyer, Schiff should have allowed that question to be answered. Follow up questions could have been restricted if it became obvious Jordan was WB fishing.

Especially if Vindman spoke to someone that does not have the need to know, as someone mentioned in a different post. That could be criminal.

Yep, that is why it is important. He stated he talk with several. He could have listed them and left the whistle blower off. This whole thing is a sham and waste of money, time and energy.
