Not on the ballot. Not written in the Constitution. Why should we start now?

We have been electing them since the dawn of time. Every 2 years a third of the Senate goes up for election. America votes on it's judicial trajectory at that point.

So far, the Democrats have not convinced the enough of the American electorate to control the Senate. Therefore, they have chosen the Republican party and the President at the time to make the appropriate judicial appointment.

If you control the presidency and the senate then you can pick a SCJ before the election. Duh Democraps!

Ted Cruz addressed this. End of story. The US didn't start in 2016.

It's a dumb move if senate Republicans try to make it a campaign platform for their upcoming elections.

Right now, they control the Senate. If they treat a supreme seat as something insignificant enough to gamble on in the upcoming elections, then they are slapping the faces of everyone who voted for them in the first place.

Exactly. What does the Constitution read about the term of Office for the President and Senators? This is over and the Dems know it.
